The Glenbrook Primary School site is situated on
a corner block, with a unique dual frontage to two residential roads. The site’s broader context includes a mixed variation of low and high density residential developments which also range in character from pre- war to contemporary housing typologies.

Betchwood Vale

All ground floor classrooms open externally into the sensory gardens and lower playground area. Terracing provides a seamless transition from the lower to the upper playground.

Liverpool, Crown Place

As part of our work at the University of Liverpool at Crown Place, we have linked the new residences with the rest of the university campus and the surrounding city scape with extensive public realm.

Astrea Academy

Occupying a prominent site over looking the city centre, the landscape design has had to integrate a new build and refurbishment of an existing listed building on to a site which has a level difference of over  40 meters within it’s boundary.  We took the opportunity to create a variety of outdoor spaces that respond to the educational brief and maximise opportunity for sport for both school and community use.

Oakgrove Primary

Working with Ellis Williams Architects and Wates Construction we were part of the team that helped realise this new build primary school, including 39-place nursery, built on a brownfield historic landfill site and part of the Oakgrove village development, a millennium community that showcases the best in sustainable construction.

University of Nottingham AMB

Working closely with Bond Bryan Architects, we have recently completed the new Advanced Manufacturing Building on the edge of the University of Nottingham’s Jubilee Campus.

Wyken Croft Primary

Another of our Coventry PSBP Schools, at Wyken Croft we incorporated a new build onto the same site whilst the existing school continued to operate unaffected.

St Thomas More

Under the PSBP framework, Ares delivered Landscape proposals for all 5 schools of the Coventry Schools Priority Schools Building Programme – Batch 1.

High Speed Rail College

Working in collaboration with Bond Bryan and Willmott Dixon we helped deliver  the new National College for High Speed Rail (NCHSR). The College has sites in Birmingham and Doncaster and we worked on both schemes from inception to completion

Sheffield University Technical College

Working with Sheffield-based HLM Architects, we  developed public realm and landscape proposals for the Sheffield UTC in the City Centre. The learning facility dedicated to specialist technical industries opened in 2013 on the Porter Brook site, Shoreham Street, in the Cultural Industries Quarter.

Oaklands College

The new teaching block and sports facilities at Oaklands College Smallford campus comprises of new teaching facilities for Art, Fashion and Design, Entry Level programmes for Learners with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities and general teaching facilities.

De Warenne Academy

We made full use of existing mature tree planting to provide an outstanding natural environment for learning.

Outwood Academy

Part of the Doncaster Academies programme, our proposals for Outwood centred on delivering the maximum educational value through a considered landscape approach which deals with the external environment as a learning resource.

University of Leeds

Working in conjunction with architects CJCT we created a piece of new Landscape and Public Realm for the University of Leeds at their city centre campus.
