As part of a series of linked external spaces, which include communal gardens and a canalside square, we have recently designed a linear park that runs along a 360m section of listed Victorian viaduct in Leeds.
Now disused, it previously acted as a key link into Leeds Train Station. The new park will evolve in character along its length, from a perdominantly soft space as it runs over the River Aire and Leeds-Manchester Canal to one more urban in character towards the Apartment Buildings.
At the heart of the new park a major events space will give Leeds a unique venue with an elevated vantage point over the rest of the city.
