We recently won a design competition against Kier, the very interesting Betchwood Vale SEN Academy. As you can see its a special site and a special setting, Surrey Downs AONB
We still await the result of another competition with Kier (and Jestico+Whiles) on John Henry Newman Catholic Shool, which we have already submitted and hope to hear on soon.

We’ve been appointed to develop the school prototypes for the next decade of Zero Carbon design. The findings of our work will be rolled out across the entire government estate. and LANDSCAPE and INTEGRATED SITE DESIGN finally appears to be getting the role it deserves in all this.

A slew of Project wins at the start of February, including a quite a few in the leisure sector.
Extreme have extended our Luge commission to take in the wider Ski Village masterplan, we’re looking at the Haycock Hotel near Peterborough, and closer to home, Capital & Centric have taken us on for Stages 4-5 for Eyewitness Works, part of the Milton St Masterplan.

We recently received planning approval for Turing House School with B+K. The development was on Metropolitan Open Land and there was a fair bit of opposition to the scheme due to it’s location, including from Vince Cable no less! Planning Approval obtained for Cornell Quarter in Middlesbrough. For University of Teeside, through Wates Leeds. Amazing what you can do with Keyblock concrete paving….
